Hey all!
I heard about your group from an old grade school teacher of mine who is a Miniapples member, John Hartnett. I am currently looking for an Apple II series machine. I am a retro-computing enthusiast, as I have been programming since 3rd grade. John Hartnett will probably remember me as a school kid doing programming work on those machines. (I had to get his permission to bring my own programming tools/code from home to school, since he was the systems administrator.) I still chuckle when I remember that. I was the only kid in the school who wrote code on those machines for fun, and what fun it was!
Anyway, my first Apple IIe I had died many years ago of a failed power supply, and sadly I threw it out. I also had a IIgs which was later sold at a garage sale, which in retrospect was also a bad idea. I am currently looking to get an Apple II series machine somewhere locally, because I really do not want to pay shipping on such a heavy machine and risk having it broken in the process. I am not looking for a collector's piece, just a working machine. I would prefer an Apple IIc machine, but barring that a IIe would be preferred. An 80 column card would also be desirable.
I am willing to make a reasonable offer for this, but I can't afford anything too fancy- I really am just looking for a "shop grade" machine that will be used for coding, tinkering, and general hobby use.
Please PM me if you have some equipment you'd like to offer me. Donated equipment is also acceptable of course! ;) |

Welcome to the Miniapples forum! An Apple IIe was mentioned a while back. Maybe it's still floating around with one of our members. Hopefully you hear something. _________________ "Something I missed, I don't know, something not in the plans!"
