Greetings:

Which Apple word processor works with Mac OS X 10.2.8? I just found out the iWork '06 requires a minimum of Mac OS X 10.3.9.

Thanks,

Tom

AppleWorks 6 runs under all recent versions of OS X.

The following came from an Apple Pages forum:

iWork '05- Minimum system requirements include Mac OS X version 10.3.6, a Macintosh® computer with a 500 MHz or faster PowerPC G3, G4 or G5 processor (G4 for PowerBook), 128 MB of RAM (512MB recommended), 8MB of video RAM (32MB recommended), QuickTime 6.5 or later and iLife ’04 or later recommended.

iWork '06 requires Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or 10.4.3 or later, a Macintosh® computer with a 500 MHz or faster PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5 or Intel® Core™ processor, 256MB of RAM (512MB recommended), 32MB of video RAM, QuickTime 7.0.3 or later, and a DVD drive required for install. iLife '06 is recommended.

From Wikipedia:

iWork '05 was launched on January 11, 2005 and featured the new version 2 of Keynote and the first release of Pages.

I've got some templates I still use with AppleWorks utilizing a custom outline format and custom printing. I've tried to move these over to Pages without total success, but what I need to do is get serious and see if it is possible. Anyway, AWs still works great under 10.5.

Interesting! Turns out I have an eMac Application Disc that I got with my G4 that has AppleWorks 6 on it. I found the 6.2.9 updater on the web. The programs works fine.

Thanks,
