Anyone know of a good source for buying used RAM in the Twin Cities for a 1.8Ghz Power Mac Tower?

Specifically I'm looking for two 1GB sticks of DDR PC3200*CL=3*unbuffered*Non-ECC*DDR400*2.6 volts*128Megx64.

Apple decribes it as follows: 400 MHz, PC 3200 DIMMS, 2.5 volt, 184 pin module, Max number of memory devices on DDR SDAM: 16, Nonparity, No error-correcting codes (ECC), Unbuffered.

Thanks!

Can't say I know of any place locally, but you can check out OWC. http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/PC2100-2700-3200-DDR-184pin/ They are quick, reasonable, and fully guaranteed.

I know several mini'app'les members that have dealt with them (myself included) and have been well satisfied. Smile

I know of two places locally that sell used Apple computers. You may have to call about your specific RAM requirements.

Computer Revolution
http://www.cr-mn.com/
2335 Fairview Ave. North
Roseville, MN 55113
Phone: 651.633.6600

I was there 2 weeks ago and saw they had used G4 Powerbooks and iMacs for sale. The could keep a supply of parts in the back room.

ComputerMegaMall
Call Syed @ 952-960-1354
Suite 121A & B, 1313 5th St. SE, MINNEAPOLIS, MN

This shop is in DinkyTown. I did not visit the store, but when I called they had used 17" G4 Powerbooks for sale. Might be worth a call.

Buy New?

You might find that new RAM is just as cheap as used. I use:
www.dealram.com
to find the lowest prices. They have an Apple navigation tool that directs you to the correct RAM for you machine.

Good luck!
